Wareham Police Arrest Wanted Middleboro Woman for Alleged Shoplifting
WAREHAM (WBSM) — For the second time in three days, Wareham Police arrested a wanted person for allegedly shoplifting from the local Target store.
On December 19, officers were dispatched to the Target in Wareham Crossing for a report of an active shoplifter. The officers arrived and identified the suspect as Amanda Manning, 37, of Middleboro.
According to police, Manning fled the store prior to the officers’ arrival and got into an awaiting vehicle. Officers pulled the vehicle over and found Manning attempting to hide in the back seat, police said.
Manning had seven outstanding warrants for her arrest from various courts. She was placed under arrest and was ordered held without bail.
Police said the shoplifting incident is being investigated by the Wareham Police Criminal Investigations Division.
Manning was previously arrested for shoplifting from the Taunton Target back in 2019 as well.
Manning’s arrest comes just three days after Wareham Police arrested John Vacchino, Jr., 65, of New Bedford for allegedly shoplifting from the same Target store. He also had five outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest.
