WAREHAM (WBSM) — A 23-year-old Wareham man was killed in a motorcycle crash near his home on Monday night.

Details of the Charge Pond Road Incident

Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said that Wareham Police responded at about 6:50 p.m. on August 17 to a report of a serious motorcycle crash near Charge Pond Road.

Identification of the Victim

The victim was found at the scene and transported to an area hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced deceased about two hours later. He has been identified as Cristian Hagopian, 23.

Group Ride and Witness Statements

The D.A.’s Office said Hagopian had been riding motorcycles with a group of people when he crashed into a wooded area near his home. Witnesses told Wareham Police and Massachusetts State Police investigating the incident that no other motorcyclists were near Hagopian when he crashed.

Ongoing State Investigation

The investigation remains ongoing and is now under the jurisdiction of the State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
