
Motorcyclist Dies From Injuries Suffered in Raynham Crash
RAYNHAM (WBSM) — The motorcyclist involved in a crash with a pickup truck on Route 138 in Raynham Sunday night has passed away from his injuries.
Raynham Police Chief David LaPlante and Raynham Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita announced that the motorcyclist, identified as Daniel Pitts, 37, of South Easton, passed away overnight.
Raynham Police and Fire Respond to Sunday Night Scene
Raynham Police and Fire responded to Route 138 at King Philip Street at about 7:45 p.m. on August 23 for a report of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, officers arrived to find a 1995 Suzuki VSG motorcycle had been involved in a crash with a 2025 GMC Sierra pickup. Pitts was found on the ground with significant injuries and was first taken to Morton Hospital in Taunton before being medflighted to Rhode Island Hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the pickup truck remained on the scene and was cooperative with police.

Investigation Ongoing by State and Local Authorities
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, and Raynham Police.
