Wareham Warehouse Worker Killed in Tractor-Trailer Incident

WAREHAM (WBSM) — A worker at the Chatham Village Foods warehouse in Wareham was killed in a tractor trailer incident at the facility this morning.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, Wareham Police received a 911 call at about 9:43 a.m. reporting a worker injured at the Chatham Village Foods warehouse located at 20 Kendrick Road in the industrial park.

First responders arrived to find the 56-year-old man behind a loading dock, pinned by a tractor trailer and suffering from injuries that appeared to be life-threatening.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene at 9:54 a.m. The man’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Multi-Agency Investigation Underway

The incident remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the D.A.’s Office and Wareham Police, with assistance from the MSP Crime Scene Section, the MSP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the MSP Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section.
