PROVIDENCE (WBSM) — Wareham’s own Oscar winner Geena Davis is coming home to southern New England to take part in this year’s Rhode Island Comic Con.

RICC made the announcement last week that the 69-year-old Wareham native would be a celebrity guest at this year’s convention, slated for November 7-9, 2025 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence.

Davis will be appearing on Friday and Saturday only.

Not only that, she is being joined by some of her most notable co-stars.

Susan Sarandon, Davis’s co-star in Thelma & Louise, will also be a celebrity guest at Rhode Island Comic Con. The two are even teaming up for photo ops.

Both were nominated for Best Actress for Thelma & Louise, although neither won for that film (they lost to Jodie Foster as part of the big sweep for The Silence of the Lambs).

Davis had previously won Best Supporting Actress for 1988’s The Accidental Tourist, while Sarandon later won Best Actress in 1995 for Dead Man Walking.

Alec Baldwin, who starred with Davis in Beetlejuice, will be in attendance Saturday only. While Baldwin will be offering pro photo ops, he is unfortunately not also offering a team-up with Davis for photos.
