WAREHAM (WBSM) — Authorities are investigating after two young men were killed when the dirt bike they were riding crashed into an SUV in Wareham Saturday night.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz, Wareham Police received two 911 calls at about 10:52 p.m. on July 15 reporting a dirt bike versus motor vehicle crash in the area of 121 Marion Road.

Police and emergency personnel arrived to find two unresponsive male victims in the roadway with apparent serious injuries, Cruz said. They were both transported to Tobey Hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

They have been identified as Robert Stalker, 17, of Woburn and Brady Petrucci, 20, of Raynham.

Cruz said preliminary investigation suggests the victims were riding on a Kawasaki dirt bike that had no front or rear lights, and that neither of the victims was wearing a helmet.

The dirt bike appears to have crashed into a 2017 Buick Envision as the Buick was making a left turn onto Gibbs Avenue from Marion Road.

Cruz said the operator of the SUV stopped immediately.

The investigation remains ongoing.
