WAREHAM — Three people, including an infant, were sent to the hospital following a crash involving a car box truck at the Wareham Crossing shopping center Wednesday morning.

At approximately 10:14 a.m., Wareham Police, Fire and EMS responded to Cranberry Highway at the entrance of Wareham Crossing for a serious motor crash involving a truck.

Officers arrived and found a box truck on its side and a vehicle with heavy front-end damage. In addition, the truck’s fuel tank was ruptured and leaking. Wareham Fire personnel contained the hazards on both vehicles.

Three people, including an infant, were transported to Tobey Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries by Wareham Emergency Medical Services.

The accident remains under investigation by Officer Stephen Harrison.
