DIGHTON — Multiple cars are destroyed after catching fire at a Dighton auto auction business early Friday morning.

Fire Chief Christopher Maguy says the Dighton Fire Department responded to Manheim New England at approximately 12:25 a.m. to reports of a vehicle fire that destroyed five cars.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a group of vehicles that were on fire in an outside parking lot. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

A total of three engines and an ambulance filled out the emergency response.

There were no reported injuries in the incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The fire is not considered suspicious.
