DIGHTON (WBSM) — Firefighters in Dighton knocked down a small garage fire Tuesday.

According to Chief Christopher Maguy, the department responded to 2218 Winthrop Street, a commercial property, at about 5:20 p.m. on February 18.

Firefighters arrived to find a small fire in the front corner of a 35-foot-by-20-foot garage. They were able to quickly knock the fire down.

“Our crews got to the scene very quickly, and that gave us a leg up on fighting the fire,” Chief Maguy said.
