Jackpot! Taunton Casino Construction Plans Revealed [VIDEO]

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe unveiled its final design and construction plans on Monday for Taunton’s first casino, First Light Resort & Casino.

According to WLNE 6, “the auditorium at City Hall was packed as design plans for the destination casino were revealed. Though, while many were thrilled, a pending lawsuit is still lingering.”

The lawsuit was filed by a group of Taunton property owners in Federal Court challenging the state of the land.

More than 2,600 permanent jobs will be provided by the casino.

Phase one of the project, which includes full gambling and food venues is expected to be open by the summer of 2017.
