WAREHAM — An East Wareham man was arrested after a Wareham Police officer observed the man allegedly pulling door handles.

On Saturday, September 7, around 9:30 p.m. a Wareham Police officer observed a man pulling on door handles in the parking lot of Master Mufflers on Cranberry Highway.

After the suspect called for backup, the suspect got into the passenger side of a car and attempted to reach for something.

As officers approached the vehicle, the man attempted to flee and a scuffle ensued.

Officers were able to subdue and arrest Brendin Akusis, 24, of East Wareham.

Akusis is charged with breaking and entering a vehicle with intent to commit a felony and resisting arrest.

This is the second time Akusis has been arrested by Wareham police within the last month.

On August 19, Akusis was arrested after being suspected of breaking into the Mass Coast Railroad office and stealing from that building.
