WAREHAM (WBSM) — A Wareham man was arrested early Monday for allegedly stabbing someone at an Onset bar.

Wareham Police Respond to Early Morning Disturbance

According to Wareham Police, a report came in at about 12:38 a.m. on February 2 of a disturbance with someone possibly stabbed at Stephen’s Lounge, located at 201 Onset Avenue.

Victim Hospitalized with Multiple Stab Wounds

First responders arrived at the establishment and found what police called “large amounts of blood in the bar area,” and a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. His condition was not released.

Suspect Identified Following Investigation

The ensuing investigation identified Alexx Rezendes, 27, as the suspect.

Charges and Arraignment Details

Later that day, police located Rezendes at his residence and placed him under arrest without incident at around 4:36 p.m. Monday. He faces charges of assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He was held on $10,000 cash bail and scheduled for arraignment today in Wareham District Court.
