BRIDGEWATER (WBSM) — A Bridgewater woman was struck and killed while walking late Tuesday afternoon.

According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, Bridgewater Police responded to the area of Route 104 and Vernon Street at about 5:15 p.m. on January 27 for a report of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash.

Details of the Bridgewater Pedestrian Crash

The female victim was transported to Boston Medical Center South in Brockton, where she died as a result of her injuries. She has been identified as Lee Marie Hagerty, 55, of Bridgewater.

Driver Stops at Scene of Bridgewater Crash

Cruz said the driver of the Honda CRV that struck Hagerty did stop at the scene. He has only been identified as a 63-year-old man.

Ongoing Investigation

The crash remains under investigation by Bridgewater Police and Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the D.A.’s Office.
