
Teen Killed, 4 Severely Injured After Stolen Car Crashes into Tree in Abington
UPDATE: The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office has identified the victim as Sebastian Hamilton, 17. The D.A.'s Office also said the four other people injured in the crash remain at area medical facilities for continued treatment.
ABINGTON (WBSM) — A teenager was killed this morning and four other people were seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash in Abington.
According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Abington Police Chief John Bonney, a vehicle that had been reported stolen was involved in the crash.
Details of the Abington Washington Street Crash
At about 7:47 a.m. today, Abington Police observed a Hyundai Tucson that had previously been reported stolen. They attempted to stop the vehicle, when the vehicle apparently left the roadway and struck a tree at 877 Washington Street.

Extent of Passenger Injuries and Fatality
Five people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. A female was ejected from the vehicle, and three other passengers – a male and two females – sustained life-threatening injuries and were taken to area hospitals before being transported to Boston hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The 17-year-old male driver was pinned inside the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity was not released.
Ongoing Massachusetts State Police Investigation
The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Abington Police.
