Wareham’s Water Wizz Hosts ‘Grown Ups’ Style Bachelor Party

This past weekend may have been rainy, but for one group of friends from Los Angeles, California, it couldn’t have been more perfect.

While most people think of Wareham's Water Wizz as a family destination, one group of adventurous friends recently proved it’s also the perfect setting for a wildly fun and nostalgic bachelor party (not to worry, they kept it PG).

Jake Frank, a recently-engaged 30-something from L.A. and his crew made the cross-country trek for a Cape Cod weekend inspired by the comedy classic Grown Ups. With matching shirts and big energy, the crew set its sights on recreating some of the film’s most iconic moments. Yes, that included a trip to Water Wizz, which played a starring role in the movie.

What they didn’t expect was to hit the jackpot with timing.

It just so happened to be Water Wizz’s opening day and the skies were overcast and drizzly. That's typically a bummer for beachgoers, but a total win for Jake and his guys. The gloomy weather kept the crowds away, giving them the entire park nearly to themselves. They zipped through every slide, wave pool and lazy river in record time, without waiting in a single line.

That’s not something you can do on a sunny Saturday in June.

The “Frank Crew” included Jake (the groom), his brother Spencer (best man), and groomsmen Jalen, Jack, Jeremy, Joey, and Graham. A special shoutout goes to Ted, a buddy who couldn’t make the trip but was there in spirit.

After their wet and wild victory at Water Wizz, the guys kept the Grown Ups tour rolling with a stop at Woodman’s in Essex, where another scene from the film was shot.

Bachelor party? More like best weekend ever.

Congratulations to Jake and the entire crew on an unforgettable celebration that brought the laughs, the memories and the movie magic to life.
