Wareham Ulta Beauty Shoplifting Suspects Charged
WAREHAM (WBSM)—Wareham Police charged three suspects with organized retail crime after their arrest for shoplifting over $4,000 worth of merchandise at an Ulta Beauty Supply store.
According to police, the suspects allegedly left the store with several bags of stolen merchandise totaling over $4,200.00 on May 7. A description of the vehicle was given, and authorities sent a BOLO (Be On the Lookout).
A Massachusetts State Trooper pulled over the vehicle on Interstate 495 North. The driver of the car was Bianca-Lee Cruz, 35, of Boston. Jeremy Menendez, 34, of Nashua, New Hampshire, and Carmen Resto, also of Boston, were passengers in the vehicle.
During further investigation, the trooper had both Menendez and Resto out of the vehicle while Cruz remained behind the wheel. At that time, Cruz fled from the scene, ran over Resto’s foot, and was later located at West Bridgewater’s Market Basket parking lot.
Cruz was placed in custody and charged with organized retail crime and larceny over $1200. She also had four outstanding warrants.
Menendez was charged with organized retail crime and larceny over $1200.
Both Cruz and Menendez were arraigned at the Wareham 4th District Court.
Resto was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.
Police said both Cruz and Menendez have been involved in 24 shoplifting incidents throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire totaling in over $33,000 of stolen merchandise.
