A Bourne man is rescued after becoming lost in the Wareham woods.

According to police, the wife of the 54-year-old Bourne man reported him missing at about 7:30 Tuesday night near the Weweantic River after he went "geocaching", an outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS enabled devices. The woman reported her husband had previously fallen into the river, and became disoriented.

Wareham Police were able to establish the missing man's GPS coordinates after several calls to his cell phone. Emergency responders were able to locate the male shortly before 9pm, using K-9 and ATV units to reach him.

The man, whose name is not being released, suffered cramping and was transported to Tobey Hospital. He was released after showing no signs of injury or hypothermia.
