WAREHAM — Wareham Police have arrested two people in connection to a pair of break-ins at the same house in the town.

Police in Wareham began investigating a report of a breaking and entering incident at a home on Onset Avenue on Saturday, Feb. 2. Multiple items had been stolen from the home, which was still under construction.

Police returned to the same home on Wednesday, Feb. 6, after more items had been reported stolen from the site.

At about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, police spotted one of the suspects driving on Cranberry Highway. Police pulled the vehicle over and arrested the driver, John Lyons (pictured left), 43, of 67 Jefferson Shores Road, East Wareham.

As a result of the arrest, police obtained a search warrant for Lyons' listed address and executed the warrant on Thursday at 67 Jefferson Shores Road. During the search, police recovered several stolen items, including items stolen from a recent break-in case in Bourne. Police also arrested another man living at the house, Robert Cardoza, 48.

Lyons has been charged with receiving stolen property over $1,200. Cardoza faces two counts of the same charge.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and expect more charges to be filed.
