Wareham Police Announce Traffic Restrictions for Onset Fireworks

The Onset Fireworks show has been moved to Sunday, and Wareham Police have put some traffic restrictions in place. Drivers should expect delays when leaving the area after the event.

Onset traffic restrictions:

All day – No parking Union Avenue from Onset Avenue to C.W. Bishop

3 p.m. – Onset Pier Closed, Handicapped Parking only

7 p.m. – Onset Avenue from 10th Street to East Boulevard, residents only with proof of ID or handicap placard

8 p.m. – Onset Center shut down to all vehicular traffic.

Those attending the fireworks are reminded that public consumption of alcohol and marijuana is against the law and will not be tolerated.

The goal is for the Wareham Police Department and its public safety partners and everyone else to have a safe and enjoyable experience while attending the fireworks.
