A final decision regarding a Region C casino license, could face some delays.

Ed Bedrosion, the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, spoke with commissioners during their meeting on Thursday.

Bedrosion says that their host community in Brockton meeting wasn't closed after they received an invitation from the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe.

"We have accepted an invitation from the tribe to meet with them on March 15th, we're working out the details of that," said Bedrosion, "but as a result of that meeting and anticipated presentation we did not close our host community meeting."

Bedrosian says there will be a return trip to Brockton, causing delays for the commission.

"We anticipate going back down to Brockton, probably the last week of March, and that will neccessitate a statutory delay in your deliberations probably until the last week of april," said Bedrosion.

Mass Gaming and Entertainment remains the sole bidder for a commercial casino license in Region C.
