
Abington Mother Charged with Physical Abuse of 2-Month-Old Baby
UPDATE: Timmons pleaded not guilty earlier today and was held on $100,000 cash bail. She is next due in court on August 31.
BROCKTON (WBSM) — An Abington mother will be arraigned on charges that she physically abused her two-month-old daughter.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced that Jillian Timmons, 34, had been arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery on a child causing serious bodily injury, and one count of reckless endangerment of a child.
Timmons was scheduled to be arraigned today in Brockton District Court.

Hospital Report Prompts Two-Week Investigation
According to the D.A.’s Office, an investigation began on July 17 when a mandated reporter at South Shore Hospital contacted authorities about the suspected abuse of the infant girl after Timmons had brought her to the hospital for treatment.
Infant Transferred to Boston Hospital for Treatment
The two-week investigation allowed detectives to develop probable cause, and they were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Timmons. She was taken into custody on the afternoon of July 30, and the baby is currently being treated at a Boston hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing.
