FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) - Two Massachusetts men have been indicted in connection with the 2008 slaying of two brothers.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn announced Sunday that a grand jury indicted 26-year-old Kevin Cox, of Berkley, and 28-year-old Matthew Lander, of Swansea.

Prosecutors say Taunton police responded to an apartment the afternoon of Feb. 24, 2008, and found 23-year-old Kevin Vargas and 21-year-old Shawn Vargas shot to death inside. Shawn Vargas' young children were in the apartment at the time. They were uninjured.

Cox is charged with two counts of murder and two counts of armed robbery. He's scheduled to be arraigned Monday. Lander is charged with two counts of murder and one count of armed robbery. His arraignment hasn't been scheduled yet.
It's unclear whether the men have lawyers.
