Raynham Man Sentenced for Drug Trafficking and Firearms
RAYNHAM (WBSM) — A Raynham man pleaded guilty to drug trafficking while also being in possession of illegal guns.
Terrance Silveira, 37, pleaded guilty last week to indictments charging him with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine, five counts of possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl, and one count each of unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a firearm, and of a high capacity feeding device.
Silveira was sentenced to serve seven to nine years in state prison.
During an investigation into a fatal drug overdose, investigators identified Silveira’s phone number as a source of supply. Undercover Massachusetts State Police troopers then conducted five controlled buys of fentanyl by using Silveira’s number.
On January 12, 2023, investigators executed a search warrant for Silveira’s apartment on Daisy Lane in Raynham. Silveira was arrested while delivering drugs that were previously arranged through investigators. At that time, approximately 10 grams of fentanyl was recovered from him.
During the search warrant, investigators also recovered approximately 104 grams of cocaine, 105 grams of fentanyl, $9,952 in cash, two firearms (one Glock 9mm and one RF-15 long gun), ammunition, high-capacity feeding devices, and items associated with drug sales (a scale and a money counter).
Silveira has served multiple state prison and county jail sentences for drug trafficking and assault.
