Two Teens Face Massive List of Charges After High-Speed Chase Through Lakeville
LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a recent string of vehicle break-ins and a stolen vehicle after a pursuit in Lakeville into Fall River on Monday evening.
A Week of Lakeville Vehicle Break-Ins
According to Lakeville Police, there was an incident of a stolen vehicle and at least 10 motor vehicle break-ins occurring throughout the town between May 28 and June 1. Officer Alexander Malo’s investigation uncovered nine related incidents: a motor vehicle stolen from a Precinct Street home that was later recovered in Halifax, and 10 vehicle break-ins on Riverside Drive, Harding Street, Barstow Street, Loon Pond Road, Fern Avenue, LeBaron Boulevard and Bunker Lane.
Police said all the incidents remain under investigation, but that they were able to identify two local juveniles as suspects.

Monday Night Police Pursuit Ends in Fall River
On Monday, June 1, at about 8:43 p.m., police attempted to take the juvenile suspects into custody on Smith Circle. They fled in a vehicle and were arrested following a pursuit that ended on Yellow Hill Road in Fall River. Police said evidence in the vehicle connected them to the previous break-ins and a motor vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day.
Severe Charges and Ongoing Multi-Town Investigations
One of the juveniles has been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, marked lanes violation, stop sign violation, possession of burglarious tools, and use of a motor vehicle without authority.
Police said charges against the second juvenile are pending. They believe the two were involved in incidents in other local communities, including a stolen license plate investigation and two separate failure-to-stop incidents in Raynham, and a hit-and-run crash in Taunton.
"Multiple law enforcement agencies from across the region – including Freetown Police, Dartmouth Police and the Massachusetts State Police – were instrumental in assisting with the pursuit and safe apprehension of these two juveniles," Lakeville Police Chief Matthew Perkins said "Cooperation across town and city lines makes each of our departments stronger."
Police said additional charges may be forthcoming, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Division at (508) 947-4422.
