Police Arrest Break-In Suspect In Wareham

A Wareham man has been charged with a series of house breaks over the past two months. 

Twenty-five year old Joseph Prada-Ruiz was arrested Tuesday, after a neighbor spotted a man attempting to break into a garage on Marion Road.  Parada-Ruiz was picked up on four outstanding warrents from Wareham District Court, charging him with probation violations and other crimes. 

Investigators later charged Prada-Ruiz with breaking and entering, malicious destruction of property and receiving stolen property in connection with five recent breaks into homes in the Hathaway Street/Marion Road areas.  Police also recovered $3,000 worth of jewelry items. 

Also arrested was Prada-Ruiz' live-in girlfriend, 32 year old Kristen Smith.  She was charged with receiving some of the stolen jewelry. 

Both were arragined Wednesday in Wareham District Court.
