SHREWSBURY (WBSM) — As we are closely watching all things Ground Round ahead of its grand return on April 30, we are waiting to see if some of our treasured favorites will be making a comeback as well.

We already know that the baseball cap sundaes are back, as are the cartoons (albeit this time on a television as opposed to a movie projector). We also know that Bingo the Clown is not returning, but we’re ready to welcome the Ground Round Hound, whose official name has not yet been announced.

However, we just got one of the biggest menu updates yet, as some of Ground Round’s traditional menu items have either been added to the temporary “soft opening” menu, or will be available when the full menu is launched on April 30.

They are literally the flavors of your childhood if you grew up in the 1970s, 80s or 90s.

Added to the limited menu is the “Ooey Gooey Flower Pot Dessert,” which some might remember as the “Dirt Cup.” It features chocolate mousse, crushed cookie “dirt,” gummy worms and whipped cream, and is served in a miniature flower pot.

Making their return to the full menu will be the “Pot O Gold,” the taco salad and perhaps the most beloved of all Ground Round desserts, the cinnamon dippers.

Both the Pot O Gold and the taco salad came in the huge crispy fried tortilla shell. The taco salad is pretty self-explanatory, but if you’re not familiar with what was in the Pot O Gold, get ready to clutch your heart: mozzarella cheese sticks, egg rolls and onion rings, with mandarin orange and marinara sauces on the side for dipping.

I think the Ground Round’s Pot O Gold is also the first time I ever tried honey mustard, but I may not be remembering correctly; I blame the blocked arteries that came from eating the entire Pot O Gold myself, including the tortilla shell.

As one Reddit user called it, it was a “fried basket of death.” More like a fried basket of deliciousness, right?

Either way, if you get up to the Ground Round in Shrewsbury, send us some photos of your meal and give us all the nostalgic feels.
