Man Beaten to Death With Hammer in Brockton

Police are investigating a fatal hammer attack in Brockton.

Police responded to calls from neighbors at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday and the male victim was found in the driveway of a home on Clinton Street.

The man had severe head wounds.

A hammer was recovered at the scene.

The victim's name was not released and there was no immediate word of arrests.

One neighbor says the man was homeless and was often seen in the neighborhood on a bicycle looking for redeemable cans and bottles.
