The long Fourth of July Weekend is over, and now you've got to get back to the daily grind while still trying to steal away a few moments here and there to enjoy the fantastic summer weather. Well, the ninth season of the Onset Summer of Love Concert Series is the perfect way to get out and enjoy some Hump Day fun each Wednesday through the rest of the summer.

The shows happen each week from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at The Lillian Gregerman Bandshell in Onset (located right across from the Onset Beach parking lot and the world-famous Marc Anthony's Pizzeria). In case of inclement weather, the shows will be moved to the Onset VFW Post #2846 Pavilion, located at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Road in Onset (about a mile away from the bandshell, just about into East Wareham). All shows are free (although donations are appreciated) and are both family and dog friendly.

It all kicks off this Wednesday, with the dance-party rock of Just Like That. Future artists include:

July 13 - Michele Rockwell Band (blues-rock)
July 20 - Forever Young, A Tribute to the Music of Neil Young
July 27 - Heartbreaker, A Led Zeppelin Experience
August 3 - Studio Two, A Beatles Tribute
August 10 - Big Rhythm Wine, A Grateful Dead Experience
August 17 - Groovy Afternoon, A Tribute to the Woodstock Era
August 24 - The Gary Backstrom Band (Original fusion-jam and rock covers)
August 31 - Pretendica and Cheap Trickery, A Tribute to the Pretenders and Cheap Trick

Can't make it to Onset? The shows are not only broadcast on Wareham Community Televison, but they also stream love on their website as well.

The Onset Summer of Love Concert Series is provided through donations, sponsorships and grants. To make a donation, contact Kat Jones at onsetvillage@yahoo.com.
