Five Arrested for Drug Charges in Wareham 7-Eleven Parking Lot
WAREHAM — Wareham Police arrest five people on drug charges after a surveillance operation in a convenience store parking lot.
On Wednesday, April 11 at 12:15 p.m., Wareham Police detectives were conducting surveillance in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at 3 Barker Road in East Wareham.
Just six days prior, a similar surveillance operation had led to the arrest of 31-year-old David Daggett and 30-year-old Carlos L. Gonzalez, both of East Wareham, after detectives observed the two men conducting a suspected heroin deal in the woods behind the store.
During Wednesday's surveillance, detectives saw what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction involving multiple parties in two vehicles. The vehicles were searched with the assistance of a Bourne Police officer, and his drug-sniffing canine.
Police say the search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a substance consistent with heroin, as well as Suboxone and $1,568 in cash.
Arrested and charged were: 29-year-old John Sulfaro of Onset, on charges of possession of a Class A substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws; 21-year-old Rachel Silva of Kingston, on charges of possession of a Class B substance and conspiracy to violate drug laws; 23-year-old Ronald A. Cappola, Jr. of Plymouth, on charges of distribution of a Class A subance, conspiracy, and an outstanding warrant.
