Carver Man Arrested on Christmas Day, Charged With Punching Wife

A nine year old boy called Carver Police on Christmas day, and told them his father had punched his mother in the face.  Police responded to a residence on Commons Drive, and after an investigation, arrested 47 year old Roger Santos of Carver.  Police also determined that Santos had picked up a four month chihuaha, and threw the puppy several times.  Police say the dog appeared frightened but unhurt.  Santos was arraigned Wednesday in Wareham District Court on charges of with assault and battery on a household member and cruelty to animals.
