Two Men Arrested in Connection With 2021 Brockton Murder
BROCKTON (1420 WBSM) — Two men have been arrested in connection with the 2021 murder of 20-year-old Jauwon Ambers of Brockton.
According to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to his office had been investigating the September 9, 2021 murder of Ambers and recently identified two suspects.
On Friday, state police and Brockton Police obtained arrest warrants for Leonard Monteiro, 22, and Ivanilson Brandao, 23. D.A. Cruz said both men were taken into custody on Saturday, October 22. Monteiro was arrested in Brockton, while Brandao was arrested in Stoughton.
The two men will be arraigned on a murder charge tomorrow in Brockton District Court.
Ambers was found suffering from a gunshot wound on the after of September 9, 2021 by Brockton Police in the area of 77 Highland Terrace. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital before being transferred to Boston Medical Center, where he died the next day.
