Woman Killed In Cape Pedestrian Accident

A woman walking on Route six in Yarmouth was struck by two motor vehicles on Saturday evening.  State Police say she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The 32-year-old Yarmouth Port woman was hit around 5 p.m. when walking on Route 6 westbound near Exit 8.

Police spoke to the two drivers but did not issue citations.  Troopers closed the westbound side of the road between Exits 8 and 7 for about 2 1/2 hours. Police are investigating why the victim was walking on the road.
