Taunton Police and Massachusetts Parole Officers converged on a residence in Taunton Friday morning, hoping to take 47-year old Giovanni Acevedo into custody.

State Police say the men claimed to be from a group "that does not recognize our laws" and headed into a wooded area.

The Sobriety Checkpoint will start on Friday and run into Saturday.
