What You Need to Know About Mars Retrograde Happening Right Now
As if we don’t have enough going on in 2020, now we have another planet in retrograde to worry about.
According to Stephanie Burke, local psychic medium and Reiki Master Teacher, Mars has been in retrograde since Wednesday, September 9, and will stay that way until Friday, November 13. That’s right – Friday the 13th. The effects of this event will last a little longer, so be prepared. This first week will be especially rough.
What makes a Mars Retrograde different from that of other planets is the frequency of its occurrence.
“While regular retrogrades are normal for most planets, Mars appears to spin backward only once every two years,” Burke said. “It is the least of all the other planets.”
Burke gave us some handy advice in dealing with Mercury Retrograde back in June, so we wanted to know how best to handle this one.
"PATIENCE WILL BE KEY. This retrograde in Mars will feel similar to that of Mercury Retrograde when it comes to 'hurry up and wait.' Mars is currently moving through the sign Aries and is also the ruling planet of the sign Aries. When Mars is normally in Aries without retrograde, it makes you want to be very assertive, bold, and take action NOW. You would normally have a fire within you to accomplish anything you put your mind to. This retrograde will turn that upside down and give you just the opposite of that. It’s not the best time to begin anything new, start a new project, etc., but if you have to, just be prepared. Don’t panic though because there is always a way to make things happen. Everything will take a little longer than originally expected, but with some planning and creativity, you can get around any obstacles that come your way.
Once this retrograde is over, there will be plenty of new beginnings. This will be a wild two months for everyone (especially those with their sun signs in Aries), so buckle up and hold on to your hats! Keep your head down, and focus on what’s important to you. Expect things to move slowly. Expect delays and frustrations and work around them. Ignore the added chaos that may come in as best you can. This will be the last of the negative energy for the year. Once the effects are over it will be smooth sailing; just in time for the holiday season, and a new year. This will be a great time to dig deep within yourself to find your balance and purpose."
Things to be mindful of:
- Your own attitude and ego
- Old drama
- Anger
- Stress
- Unresolved issues
- Laziness
- Miscommunications
- Exhaustion
- Ex-relationships/friendships
Keep an open mind, stay focused, stay positive, try not to let frustration get the best of you, and make sure to keep your own attitude in check. Keep yourself organized, meditate more often, focus on self-care, and find your balance. Be ready to run with all your goals and plans once this is done.
