Kimberly Lawson photo from Wareham Police[/caption] A Wareham women, who received Christmas gifts and financial assistance from a Cape Cod charity after claiming she needed help this holiday season, was arrested by Police after allegedly attempting to sell the gifts in an apartment complex in East Wareham.

Police say 44 year old Kimberly Lawson of East Wareham received six trash bags loaded with toys and household goods from the charity.  She reportedly told the St. Vincent De Paul Church Charities in Sandwich, she needed the gifts for her two small children. 

Police later learned Lawson's children are over 20 years old.  Lawson was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and was arraigned Monday in Wareham District Court.  Sandwich Police say more charges may be forthcoming.
