WAREHAM — A traffic stop in Wareham leads to a fentanyl arrest.

On Thursday, February, 21, at 4:30 p.m., detectives from the Wareham Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in West Wareham. As a result of a search and brief investigation, Jodi Smith, 33, of no certain address, was arrested with a quantity of suspected fentanyl in her possession.

Smith is charged with two counts of trafficking of a Class A substance (fentanyl), distributing a Class A substance (fentanyl) and possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (fentanyl).

She was held overnight at Wareham Police headquarters on $10,000 cash bail and transported to Wareham District Court on Friday morning for arraignment.
