WAREHAM — Wareham Police arrested two individuals after learning that a stolen motor vehicle from New York may be heading towards the Wareham area possibly containing a missing juvenile and stolen firearms.

On Friday, Wareham Police Officers were able to locate the vehicle in question on Glen Charlie Road. Officers were able to pull over the vehicle and arrest the sole occupant, Tyler Rakoski, 19, of East Wareham. Inside of the vehicle, two shotguns stolen from New York were secured and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Other officers involved in the investigation were checking an address in Wareham Lake Shores after receiving information that the missing juvenile could be located there. When they arrived, officers split up and went to both the rear and front entrances of the house.

As they knocked Shawn Ely, 18, of East Wareham attempted to climb out of a rear window but was quickly placed in custody due to an active warrant.
