Wareham Police Arrest Marion Man Following Drug Investigation
MARION (WBSM) —- Wareham Police led an investigation that resulted in the arrest of a Marion man earlier this week for allegedly trafficking fentanyl as well as distributing other drugs.
According to Wareham Police, that department, along with Marion Police and Plymouth Police, served three drug-related search warrants on Tuesday on Dylan McCoog, 25, of Marion.
The warrants were executed on McCoog, his vehicle and his residence.

According to police, the investigation – which also included members of the Plymouth Police K-9 Unit and the Plymouth County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, turned up “large quantities of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, various pills, drug-related paraphernalia, and over $65,000 in U.S. currency.”
McCoog was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, three counts of possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (subsequent offense), possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (subsequent offense), disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer.
Police said McCoog was arraigned in Wareham District Court and is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail.
McCoog was previously arrested in October 2020 in Sandwich after a motor vehicle stop for an expired license turned up more than two pounds of marijuana and various other drugs as well as a switchblade knife.
