Wareham Man Killed In Morning Car Accident

A 24 year old male from Onset was struck by a vehicle while in a wheelchair on Onset Avenue in Wareham early Saturday morning.

The victim was transported to Tobey Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

John Vandeusen, 28, of Middleboro was behind the wheel and is now being held without bail pending arraignment Tuesday morning at Wareham District Court.

He is being charged with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stay in marked lanes.

The Wareham Police and Massachuisetts State Police are currently investigating the incident.
