WAREHAM — A man is under arrest on drug trafficking charges following a raid of his motel room.

On Thursday morning, December 10, Wareham Police detectives and officers, along with members of the Drug Enforcement Administration, conducted a drug raid at the Village Motel, 2739 Cranberry Highway, Unit 4.

While attempting to enter the room, officers encountered a door that was fortified with a board fastened by metal brackets. After entry was made, a male occupant was secured, and a search of the room began. Police say they located and seized approximately 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 90 grams of suspected cocaine, $500 cash, and multiple other items consistent with the illegal narcotics trade.
