Wareham Bank Robbery

Robbery Suspect[/caption]Wareham Police are investigating a bank robbery late Thursday afternoon at the Mayflower Co Operative Bank on the Cranberry Highway. Lt. Kevin Walsh says a lone male fled the bank after demanding money from the teller while holding a black handgun. His face was covered and he was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. There were no injuries and no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. An undetermined amount of money was taken. The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid late 20's with light colored hair. A witness told police they saw a silver colored sedan speeding from the scene but police could not find that vehicle.
