State of the Union No Place for Illegals [OPINION]

At least one Democrat plans to attend President Donald Trump's State of the Union Address next week. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-New Jersey) will be there along with her guest, an illegal immigrant who was recently fired from the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster.

Victorina Morales is a Guatemala-born woman who worked at the club for five years before being terminated. Morales was one of about a dozen illegals who were fired when it was learned that they presented falsified documents concerning their immigration status. The New York Post says most of the illegals were from Mexico and had purchased the fake documents in Queens.

"CEO Trump led a company that has relied extensively on the hard work of undocumented immigrants like my constituent Victorina to keep his resorts clean and his putting greens trimmed. Donald Trump wants to build silly walls to stop the same immigrants that he’s made a career and a fortune from exploiting," Rep. Watson Coleman said.

Trump’s businesses include 16 golf courses and 11 hotels around the world. They are run by Trump's sons, Donald, Jr., and Eric. But of course, Trump himself has been known to spend weekends at Mar-a-Lago pouring through applications and conducting interviews for chambermaids while making sure that their immigration papers are in order.

Sounds like we need a new special counsel investigation. We can call it "chamber-gate" or "paper collusion."

“We have tens of thousands of employees across our properties and have very strict hiring practices. If any employee submitted false documentation in an attempt to circumvent the law, they will be terminated immediately,” a Trump Organization spokesperson said via email to Fox News.

The Trump Organization says it will use the E-Verify system to ensure everyone employed by the company is legally in the U.S.

Entering the U.S. without permission is a crime. Presenting false immigration papers for employment is also a crime. Whose ID did Ms. Morales have to borrow to buy the documents? Seems to me that Rep. Watson Coleman has a problem by associating with and accommodating a known criminal.

Why don't the Democrats ever root for American victims? You know, real victims. Why couldn't Watson Coleman bring one of the coal miners or steelmakers her party put out of work? Or how about one of those Catholic kids they eviscerated for wearing MAGA hats?

Oh yeah, "America First" is such a Trump idea.
