The Bronx County District Attorney's Office in New York issued a press release on Thursday discussing the arrest of 84 people suspected of running a drug distribution network that stretched all the way to New Hampshire.

Officials say that some of the gang's activities were observed here on the Southcoast, with activities being observed in Bourne and Wareham.

Wareham Police Chief Kevin Walsh says violent incidents involving known gang members from the Bronx were observed in the town, in addition to involvement in drug activity.

Walsh says Wareham Police Detectives collaborated with their Bronx, NY counterparts in the investigation that lead to indictments against the gang members who are charged with violent crimes, weapons, and drug trafficking violations.

Wareham Detectives also traveled to New York City to testify before a Grand Jury regarding the gang members' activities in Wareham.

Bourne Police say they also assisted in the investigation but declined to provide any further comment.
