24/7 News Source - A pilot is dead and an area of the Mojave desert is littered with wreckage due to the crash of Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo.

Dr. Adam Baker of London's Kingston University used to work with Virgin Galactic, and says it could take a while for the company to deal with the setback.

Baker has no doubts that Virgin Galactic will continue in its quest to be a major player in the space tourism industry.

Even so, he said the tragedy in California will remind investors and potential customers that space always involves risk.
