REHOBOTH (WBSM) — Authorities are investigating after another person was found deceased in their driveway in Rehoboth Sunday morning.

On February 8 at about 8:24 a.m., Rehoboth Police received a 911 call about an unresponsive man lying in the driveway of a residence on New Street. Officers responded to the address to find a 95-year-old man on the ground in the driveway, in the area near his garage. He was deceased when they found him.

Police said there was no sign of trauma to the man’s body, no suspicious circumstances, and that there is no threat to the public.

The case remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office and Rehoboth Police.

Second Driveway Death in Rehoboth This Week

This is the second elderly person found deceased in a Rehoboth driveway in the past week. On February 2, a 75-year-old man was found deceased in his driveway, outside of his vehicle, on Brook Street.

Third Driveway Death Since December

Another man was found deceased outside a Brook Street residence on December 15, 2025. The 67-year-old man was found deceased in a driveway not far from his own Brook Street home.

The Victims in the New Bedford Highway Murders

The New Bedford highway murders took place in 1988, with the bodies discovered into 1989. The killer is confirmed to have killed nine women and suspected of murdering at least two more. Although there were at least three different men considered as suspects by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the murders remain unsolved and the families of the victims are still searching for closure.
