RAYNHAM (WBSM) — The double fatal shooting that occurred in Raynham last Friday has now been ruled as a murder-suicide.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III said today that the cause and manner of death of both Mark Henshaw, 35, and Marie Hunt, 37, had been determined by the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The two, who were in a relationship, were discovered shot to death in a locked bedroom of their home at 134 Elm Street West in Raynham just after noon on August 8. Two minor children were also found unharmed in another part of the home.

According to the medical examiner, Hunt’s death was ruled a homicide, caused by a shotgun wound to the torso. Henshaw then died by suicide via a shotgun wound to the head.

The incident remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police assigned to the D.A.’s Office and Raynham Police.
