
Medical Emergency Sends Car Crashing Into Raynham Home
RAYNHAM (WBSM) — An investigation is ongoing in Raynham after an apparent medical episode led to a car crashing into a home this afternoon.
At about 12:51 p.m., Raynham Police and the Raynham Fire Department responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle had crashed into a home at 1577 Broadway. First responders arrived to find a sedan had crashed into the lower brick portion of the home, causing significant damage.
Officials said the preliminary investigation indicates that an elderly male driver from Rhode Island suffered an apparent medical episode, causing the car to veer off the road, cross the lawn and strike the home.
Condition of the Residents and Driver
There were residents in the home at the time of the crash, but no injuries. The driver suffered injuries that authorities said did not appear to be life-threatening, and was taken by ambulance to Boston Medical Center-South in Brockton.

Cause of the Crash Under Investigation
The crash remains under investigation by Raynham Police. Both the Raynham Building Department and the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant responded to the scene to assess the damage.
