When President Trump "tweets" Democrats cringe. They can't stand it. Even media types from Fox to CNN have felt the need to advise Trump on his tweeting habits. To no avail. Trump tweets on. And he will continue to tweet on.

The left hates it because when Trump tweets he is communicating directly to his supporters. The media hates it for the same reason. There is no opportunity for the left-leaning press to misrepresent what Trump says because it is right there in its entirety for all to see.

The public is wise to the press and Trump has found a way to do an end-run around it to get directly to the people.

Another reason the press hates Trump's tweets is that it allows the president, who is an early riser, to generally set the tone for the day. The news media was always in charge of that. Politicians responded or reacted to what the media chose as the focus. No longer. Trump gets up in the wee hours and begins tweeting and the press is forced to cover what he says.

But, the left won't give up.

Trump has held a listening session after listening session on live television with victims of the Parkland and other school shootings and today with the nation's governors to discuss school safety but, that apparently is not enough. For after Trump delivered his opening remarks to the governors, Democrat Governor Jay Inslee of Washington rose to his feet to deliver this advise to the president,  “We need a little less Tweeting, a little more listening."

Zing! That was the sound of a Democrat making an idiot out of himself.
