One Killed In Middleboro Car Crash

Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a fatal Thursday morning crash on I-495 in Middleboro.

State Police say that at around 6:30 a.m. troopers from the Middleboro barracks were called to the scene of a single car crash between exits 2 and 3.

A preliminary investigation has determined that a 61-year-old man was driving on I-495 North when he veered off the road and crashed into the woods.

The driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to Tobey Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Although the incident is still under investigation it's believed that the crash may have been caused by a medical incident.

The victim's name hasn't been released.
