New Bedford Woman Arrested for Shoplifting from Wareham Walmart

WAREHAM — Wareham police have arrested a 19-year-old New Bedford woman on shoplifting charges.

Police were called to Walmart around 2 p.m. Monday, July 9 for a report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, they learned the suspect had fled the property.

The woman, 19-year-old Kaya Fisher, was found in her black Hyundai on Tobey Road. After the vehicle was pulled into the Aldi parking lot, Wareham Police say they found a bathing suit and suntan lotion from Walmart.

Fisher was arrested, then taken to Wareham Police headquarters for processing before being transported to Wareham District Court.
